Brad Schaffel is the eDiscovery & Litigation Support Manager, Sullivan & Cromwell LLP. He is a resident of Brooklyn, New York and has over 24 years’ experience in eDiscovery and Litigation Support. Brad is a member of the Charter Class of Certified E-Discovery Specialists and currently serves as Vice-President for the ACEDS NY Metro Chapter Board.
Tasked with creating a team of experienced professionals, Mr. Schaffel has been successful in building a department of top-tier individuals who can act as in-house legal technology consultants as well as excellent project managers and technicians. Brad continuously strives to improve automation and workflow; keeping up with the growing size and complexity of discovery requests is an on-going challenge that requires constant attention.
Mr. Schaffel has served on industry panels and has been involved in eDiscovery education for quite some time. To further these aims, Mr. Schaffel has been an adjunct professor of eDiscovery and is a member of numerous professional associations. Brad is currently working to develop a distance learning program on eDiscovery best practices and general knowledge for numerous top-tier law schools.
Presently, Brad hosts a series of podcasts on the topic of eDiscovery, Information Governance, and Litigation Support. Aimed at not only sharing insights from industry powerhouses, the podcasts focus on what it’s like to work in the profession from the perspective of service providers, lawyers, and lit support project managers.
